FORK organized the 2nd edition of the #WFDD in Madrid under the title “Food Design for Changing cities” Three actions took place: 1. Online session describing what a food design is and what a food design does. 25 designers, researchers, gastronomers and food industrials, discussed about the competences needed to be a food designer; 2. 25 people from Madrid Food Industry, food research and food design discussed to create commitments to biuld up a white paper; 3. Online celebratin of WFDD22 with: The participation of Francesca Zampollo presenting her new edited book “Food design voices”, Paul Newham presenting “Chef’s Manifesto” and “Beans is how” and Joan Rieradevall presenting “Tectum Garden”/The participation of the three winners of the 1st FORK CHALLENGE x design schools 21: From the Master in Food Design of l’êcole de Design de Nantes Atlanticqhe: 1st prize Cathelle DENOUE and Li Chengke with “Then from the sea to the sea”, 2nd prize Yusha Xie and Kexin Guo with “DOC”; From the master in Food Design of Eshte, Estoril, Portugal, Càtia Rodriges with “Re.lem.brar”. In this edition we launched the WFDD Award, and we had three finalists: Liam Kelly with “El funeral de la llet” from Elisava, Spain; Marta Gomez de Gispert representing “Pluma” from Elisava, Spain; Gonçalo Folgado representing “Locals” association. “Locals” won the 1st edition of the WFDD Awards.
